On April 3, 2015, our department (Department of Urology, Aerospace Center Hospital) took the lead in completing the first laparoscopic water knife minimally invasive partial nephrectomy and transurethral water knife bladder tumor resection in Beijing.
The new medical waterjet technology uses high-pressure water to cut tissues, which has the advantages of less trauma, less bleeding, and high selectivity. In partial nephrectomy, the use of water knife technology can avoid the process of blocking the renal pedicle in conventional laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, avoid renal damage caused by warm ischemia, and truly achieve "zero ischemia" resection Kidney tumors. In bladder tumor resection, water is injected into the base of the tumor to separate the tumor from the normal tissue, and then the tumor is completely removed with a water jet, which has the advantages of complete, complete and clean tumor resection.
